Vascular Rehabilitation Program
The vascular program provides an intensive interdisciplinary team approach to the rehabilitation of patients who have sustained amputation or have undergone vascular surgery. Qualified patients must want to achieve maximum independence at the wheelchair or ambulatory level and have a desire to minimize the need for assistance in activities of daily living. Program features and benefits include, expertise in wound healing, interdisciplinary team competency requirements, daily patient education in a small group format, and a medical director who has been caring for vascular patients since 1988. The vascular program also offers a direct admit component for those individuals who require training after receiving their prosthesis.
The program's primary goals are to:
- Maximize patients' potential for independence
